as an alternative and adjunct to common veterinary care.
Not unlike to the human Heilkunst, veterinary Heilkunst encompasses Regimen, Homeopathy on the medical side and Therapeutic Education (but for the animal owner).
For an animal to live in a healthy state, it is mandatory for them to be fed a specie specific diet. This would mean that an animal that is born to be a carnivore should eat meat and not a grain based kibble. As well, animals such as felines that are not supposed to eat vegetable matter, should not be fed any, as their intestinal system cannot handle it. Horses and cows need good quality hay, grains fed fitting their build, temperatment and work load and not extruded and pelleted feed that are left-over compressed products that must have added molasses to be made palatable for the animals.
Exercise and social interaction with their specie is important for any animal, it should be as close a possible to what that animal would have in the wild, without our interference.
There is another reason that animals get sick, and that is that they take on their owner's mental-emotional state, and might manifest a dis-ease for their owner. With this knowledge, the owner should strive to provide the healthiest possible environment (mental, emotional, and physical) for their companion animals, which would mean that the same requirements are to be held for the owner as well - over all good health.
