Traumatic TimelineTreatment
Developing a timeline:
Please include all shocks or traumata in chronological order. See example below!
Emotional: Traumas involving grief, loss, abandonment, betrayals (like death, relationship break-up, loss of a job, loss of independence, loss of trust etc.)
Traumas involving great fear, anxiety or stressTraumas involving anger and indignation or humiliation (including situations were emotions were suppressed)
Feelings of envy or jealousyFeelings of guilt that you put on yourself, self-blame and shame
Traumas involving abuse, weather mental, emotional or physical Some emotional traumas can involve a combination of emotions!
Physical: In-utero: drugs, alcohol, smoking or severe illnesses in mother and father, especially if they have been of viral nature, emotional shocks to the mother and father during pregnancy; ultrasound or other invasive testing.
Birth: difficult labour, forceps used, use of anaesthetics on mother, late breathing or other oxygen depravation, cord around neck etc.
Vaccinations: dates, if possible of each first vaccination received
Accidents: car accidents, falls, blows to the head, concussions, broken bones, animal bites
Surgical interventions: tonsils, appendix, adenoids, dental, abdominal, caesarean sections, circumcisions, vasectomy, hysterectomy
Drug use: antibiotics, anti- depressants, recreational drugs etc.
Hormones: birth control pill, hormone replacement therapy, IVF
Severe Infections: like Lymes disease, mononucleosis, Epstein Barr, measles, mumps, rubella, shingles, chicken pox, TB, pneumonia, typhus, etc.
Electrical shocks: like lightning, medical treatment, from electrical equipment etc.
Example: 2004, Jan car accident, minor scrapes, concussion, pain killers 2003, Aug was laid off, was very angry and envious of co-workers who kept their job. 2003, Feb dental surgery, x-ray, local freezing, pain killer 2002, Dec emotional Christmas, dog passed away etc.
