Traumatic Timeline Treatment


Developing a timeline for animals:

Please include all shocks or traumata in chronological reversed order. See example below!



Emotional:
Traumas involving grief, loss, abandonment (like death, new home, new owners, weaning, loss of independence, loss of trust etc.)

Traumas involving great fear, anxiety or stressTraumas involving anger and indignation or humiliation (including situations were emotions were suppressed)

Feelings of envy or jealousy

Feelings of guilt Traumas involving abuse, weather mental, emotional or physical

Some emotional traumas can involve a combination of emotions!



Physical:
In-utero: drugs or severe illnesses of parents, especially if they have been of viral nature, emotional shocks to the parents during pregnancy; ultrasound or other invasive testing.

Birth: difficult labour, aided (how?), unaided, use of anaesthetics on mother, late breathing or other oxygen depravation, cord around neck etc. feet bend backwards, assisted or unassisted birth and in what way?

Vaccinations: dates, if possible of each first vaccination received

Accidents: falls, blows to the head, concussions, broken bones, animal bites

Surgical interventions: spaying, neutering, dental etc.

Drug use: antibiotics, painkillers, heartworm medication, wormers etc.
Hormones used?

Severe Infections like pneumonia, WNV, encephalitis

Electrical shocks: like lightning, medical treatment, from electrical equipment etc.



Example:

2004, got bitten by stray animal, bite marks, pain killers, rabies vaccination
2003, Aug moved into new house, animal was very angry peeing on
furniture
2003, Feb dental surgery, x-ray, local freezing, pain killer
2002, Dec emotional Christmas, companion animal passed away
etc.
