Why does Homeopathy work?

A commonly asked question: “Why does Homeopathy work?” will be the subject of this introductory article by Gudula Beythien, registered Homeopath,Heilkünstler and Dairy farmer, milking 50 cows out off 110 animals with her husband and 2 children. The farming operation is non-organic due their location being the flood planes of the South Nation River.

Nature holds two important Laws, the Law of Similars and the Law of Opposites, both are essential to understand, since we use them both in Heilkunst in different disease jurisdictions depending on the purpose of the treatment we wish to provide.

Homeopathy is based upon the Law of Similars, meaning that if in a given condition the symptoms are matched by a substance that produces similar symptoms in a healthy person. This substance however is diluted and succussed most often beyond the point of material content as not to doubly introduce it, and as it might be harmful in its crude form.
Through observation of the nature of disease Samuel Hahnemann became aware that two diseases of similar nature can not habituate the same organism at the same time. An example would be that a milk maid who contracted cow pox (which is a fairly mild disease for humans) would not contract smallpox. These two diseases are very similar to each other in their symptomology. The cowpox already occupied the milkmaid’s organism and hence the smallpox could not impregnate the milkmaid with its disease generating ability but its similarity cured the cowpox. Much like that two radio stations can not occupy the same frequency.

When using Homeopathic remedies under the Law of Similars we are using the same approach creating a situation where two similar diseases have to battle for their existence and extinguish themselves in the process.
We use a remedy that would produce similar symptoms in the organism and try to match the strength of the disease with the strength of the potency of the remedy.
All who cut onions know of the stinging-burning-itchy tremendously running eyes the onion produces in us very similar to some hay fever symptoms. If we ingest now the remedy Allium Cepa, which is the red onion in potentized form we annihilate the symptoms due to its similarity.

In Heilkunst we use the Law of Similars (Homeopathy) when treating disease, it acts upon the generative side (life generating side) of the life force and we use the Law of Opposites when we want to stimulate, balance or suppress actions of the organism as it acts upon the sustensive side (life sustaining side) of the life force.
The Law of Opposites is used when the body is lacking nutrients, like Vitamin C, Minerals, or when we use Herbs, Tissue Salts and so on, or if you want to regulate a cow’s cycle with potenticed remedies, or want to dry a cow off etc.
